Privacy Policy | Bead Pattern Maker
How Bead Pattern Maker handles browser-local image processing, technical request data, preferences, and support messages.
Last updated: July 15, 2026
About this policy
This policy explains how the website and browser-based tools operated under the name Bead Pattern Maker handle information. It applies to the public pattern maker, tutorials, template library, and related downloads.
How image processing works
When you select an image in the public pattern maker, the core conversion runs in your browser using browser file and canvas capabilities. The selected image is not uploaded to a Bead Pattern Maker application server by that conversion workflow. Pattern previews and exports are created on your device. Public template images are separate website assets and do not contain your private source image.
Information we may receive
The current public tool does not require an account or payment. We may still receive limited information in these situations:
- Standard request data: Hosting and content-delivery systems may process an IP address, requested URL, request time, browser or device information, and similar security or delivery logs when your browser requests a page or public asset.
- Local preferences: Interface choices such as theme or other settings may be stored in your browser and remain there until you clear them.
- Messages you send: If you contact us, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to provide.
If accounts, payments, cloud image storage, or other data-collecting features are introduced, this policy will be updated before those features are offered publicly.
Browser storage and cookies
The site may use browser storage or strictly necessary cookies to remember interface preferences or support essential security features. The image converter does not put your selected image into a cookie. Your analytics choice is stored in your browser so the site can respect it on later visits. You can remove locally stored preferences through your browser controls, although doing so may reset the interface.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are optional. Their scripts are not downloaded until you select Allow analytics in the consent notice. If you decline, the pattern maker and downloads continue to work without these analytics services.
When allowed, Google Analytics may receive page views, referring-page information, approximate device or browser information, and limited interaction events such as opening a public template, generating a pattern, or choosing an export format. Microsoft Clarity may receive page interactions such as clicks, scrolling, viewport information, and a reconstructed view of public page elements. The complete pattern-maker workspace is masked for Clarity.
We do not send your uploaded image, its filename, its pixel or visual content, or the visual content of the generated pattern to Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity. Tool events contain only non-content settings or totals such as grid dimensions, palette identifier, color count, bead count, template slug, or export format. Advertising storage, ad-user data, advertising personalization, and Google signals are disabled in our configuration.
How information is used
Limited information described above may be used to deliver pages and downloads, keep the service secure, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, understand support requests, and comply with legal obligations. It is not used to claim ownership of your selected image or generated pattern.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Hosting, content-delivery, security, email, Google Analytics, or Microsoft Clarity may process only the information needed to provide their services to us when applicable. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid legal request, or protect users, the service, or legal rights.
Retention and security
Because the public converter does not upload the selected source image, Bead Pattern Maker does not retain that image on an application server. Technical logs are retained according to the operational settings of the relevant hosting or security provider. Google Analytics event and user data is configured for a 14-month retention period. Microsoft Clarity recordings are generally retained for 30 days, while aggregated click and heatmap data may be retained for up to 13 months. Messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer them, maintain necessary records, or meet legal obligations.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited information we handle, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. You should keep a local copy of any pattern or material list you want to preserve.
Your choices and rights
You can choose not to select an image, decline optional analytics, clear browser storage, limit cookies through browser settings, and avoid sending optional information. You can reopen Analytics settings in the site footer to change or withdraw your analytics choice; withdrawing consent clears analytics cookies available to the site and stops later analytics collection. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information we hold. When a support address is configured, it is displayed on this page for privacy requests.
Children's privacy
The service is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Children should use image-selection and craft features with a parent or guardian, especially when an image contains a person or private information.
Policy changes and applicable law
We may revise this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The updated date will be changed when a revision becomes effective. This policy and any privacy request are handled under applicable law; no specific court or jurisdiction is selected at this stage.
